About this Event
Traditionally celebrated on 31st October, Samhain (pronounced sow-in) marks the beginning of the darker half of the year, and influenced modern-day Halloween. It's a time when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, making it a powerful moment for reflection, remembrance and connection with our inner wisdom and ancestors.
As the final autumn leaves fall and the earth begins to rest, Samhain invites us to do the same. It encourages us to honour what has shaped us over the past year, release what no longer serves us, and consciously prepare for the quieter months ahead.
Gather with us at Cavendish Bazaar for an evening of seasonal ritual, gentle reflection and deep rest. The session will be guided by Creative Rituals founders Sami and Yvette, alongside Laura Ireland, founder of Sacred Sister.
What to expect...
We'll begin by settling into the space with a mindful activity, and an introduction to Samhain and its connection to the seasonal cycle.
We'll then share ceremonial cacao before getting comfy for a deeply restorative meditation and sound bath, where you'll be invited to slow down, connect with your intuition and listen to the wisdom that emerges.
Afterwards, we’ll have a selection of journalling and expressive art prompts to explore your reflections, process your learning and delve into Samhain's themes of release, renewal and intuition.
Together, we'll reflect on the year that's passed, celebrating what you've grown and learnt, while gently exploring what you're ready to leave behind. Inspired by nature's wisdom, we'll consider how we can move into winter with greater intention, self trust and compassion.
We'll finish with an optional sharing circle, offering space to reflect on your experience, connect with others and set gentle intentions for the season ahead. Please note: all sharing is completely optional and supportive.
