Sound Bath – Monthly EventFancy giving yourself two hours to properly switch off?
I’m running a sound bath on the 2nd Thursday of every month at Branston and Mere village hall, on Lincoln Road in Branston, from 7pm to 9pm.
The evening includes a relaxing sound bath, a crystal to take home, a hot drink and a good chat afterwards.
**£22.50 per person**
People experience sound baths in lots of different ways. Some drift off to sleep, some notice colours or visions, some experience physical sensations, while others simply enjoy having some time where they don't have to do anything at all.
People often tell me they leave feeling calmer, lighter, more balanced and more connected to themselves. Some also notice improvements in their sleep and a reduction in feelings of stress and anxiety.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath completely immerses, or ‘bathes’, you in sound.
The sound bath itself lasts around an hour. We begin with a gentle, guided relaxation to help you settle in, before I play a selection of instruments to create an environment where your mind and body can relax deeply.
Every sound bath is different, and so is every person's experience. There is no right or wrong way to do it. You simply lie back, get comfortable and see what happens.
You can lie on a yoga or padded mat, or if lying down isn't comfortable for you, you can use a reclining chair instead.
What to bring
Warm socks and comfortable clothes
A yoga or padded mat
A pillow and at least one blanket
An eye mask, if you find one helpful
If you would prefer to use a reclining chair, please let me know when booking so I can plan the room layout.
Is a sound bath suitable for everyone?
Sound baths are not suitable in some circumstances, including:
• Pregnancy during the first 12 weeks
• Deep vein thrombosis
• Sensitivity to sound or some forms of epilepsy
• Pacemaker, defibrillator, stent, shunt or other metallic implant
