About this Event
The invitation during this sound meditation is to engage in active listening. Through this practice, one can learn to focus the mind by tuning into the distance between sounds, the intervals between musical notes, and silence. These create an explorative space for one’s inner world.
The sound meditation compromises of light breathwork, visualization, vocal tuning, and a sonic experience with overtone emitting instruments such as kalimbas, chimes and singing bowls.
These modalities affect our brainwave cycles, neurochemistry, autonomic nervous system, heart-rate variability, and subtle energy in the body - all designed to invite the body and mind into a state of rest and contemplation.
In sound, May received training from esteemed sound practitioner David Shemesh, co-founder of the WOOM Center in New York.
May Lin Le Goff is the founder of Sound & Rest, a Reiki & sound meditation practice based in Kingston, New York.May Lin is an Usui Reiki III & Earth Evolution Reiki Certified practitioner, having been attuned by the "Reiki Godmothers" Aki Hirata-Baker and Manu Del Prete, the visionary founders of the radical MINKA Mystery School in New York.
