On Thursday, December 10, Souls of the Titanic invites just 50 guests to experience an intimate First Class afternoon of tea, art, history, and music at Paulette Café in Historic Downtown Conroe.
Enjoy a traditional First Class afternoon tea featuring delicate finger sandwiches, lemon or strawberry tarts, and chocolate or vanilla éclairs, served with your choice of tea or coffee on replica White Star Line Wisteria china, the historic pattern used in Titanic's First Class Dining Saloon and Verandah Café.
A live string ensemble will perform music from the repertoire of Wallace Hartley and his band, Titanic's musicians who famously continued playing as the ship went down.
Explore the Souls of the Titanic Artifactism™ Exhibition by Dirk Strangely, featuring original portraits of the real passengers and crew who sailed aboard Titanic. Each portrait incorporates pigment made from authenticated coal recovered from the wreck.
The stories are Titanic's. The art contains its DNA.
Stand before original pieces from Dirk's private collection, including passenger trunks bearing their original White Star Line labels, a 1910 Francis Davis Millet postcard, and a book personally signed by Titanic survivor Eva Hart.
Witness the first-ever live creation of an Artifactism™ portrait.
For the first time, Dirk will create an Artifactism™ portrait before an audience, using a 1912-era metal quill nib dipped in ink containing authentic Titanic coal pigment. Be among the first to witness Artifactism™ created live.
Every guest will receive a commemorative boarding pass, a keepsake menu, a portrait photograph taken in their attire before the Souls of the Titanic curtain and presented in a keepsake booklet, and a postcard to write to someone special. We'll even provide the postage and mail it for you.
We highly encourage dressing close to the era for maximum immersion.
