A 5Rhythms® Live wire experiment unearthedwith Lorca Simons (USA)
Rooted in the Waves Map with live, interactive and in-the-moment explorations, all in a grounded, safe container, Lorca Simons is a master practitioner of 5Rhythms Ritual Theatre. With Meredith and David in support as DJs, this dance and theatre workshop is a gateway to your deeper self. An invitation to expand your dance and explore embodiment. It’s not about acting or being something other than you are. This workshop explores the expression of your true self.
Set your compass for the unpredictable come and be prepared for individual and collective fascination, radical unity and edgy grace. We are investigating what it is to be human. We are dancing, breathing, being. We are soulful, alive resources for creative action. We are storytellers. Theatre is a tool. It is not designed to frighten, it is utilised to discover. Unplug your head and drop into your body. We will meet you there.

Lorca Simons
Lorca is dedicated to the creation of physical theatre that is both interactive and transformative, creating revolutionary theatre that dissolves the fourth wall…….and all the walls that separate us.
She followed her instincts to the unique directing vibration known as Gabrielle Roth and a 19 year creative collaboration bloomed. She studied and trained with Gabrielle from the mid-90’s and was a co-founder/co-director of 5RT, the experimental theatre wing of the 5Rhythms world.
In response to Gabrielle Roth’s investigation into what it means to be an authentic human being Lorca created Live Wire 5Rhythms Theatre, which is dedicated to the creation of physical theatre that is both interactive and transformative. Live Wire is rooted in a visionary and rigorous technique for people to become true “athletes of the heart” exploring and investigating the depths of the human spirit. Lorca is committed to scattering the seeds of this transformative process.

Friday May 22: 7-10pm
Saturday May 23: 10-5pm

This workshop offers an allocation of tickets at different price points i.e. ‘Tiers‘. The number of tickets remaining for each tier will display in the checkout below.
We have a broad range of financial capacity in our community. Please reflect on what you are able to pay and choose accordingly.
If you need the lowest price to attend i.e. perhaps you are living day by day financially, please purchase Tier 1. Payment plans are available on request.
If you can afford a bit more, i.e. you can cover your living expenses and other unexpected costs, please choose from Tier 2 or 3.
One additional tier ‘pay it forward’ invites members of our dance community to join us in helping those who need financial support to participate.

We recommend you have attended some 5Rhythms Waves classes prior to attendance at this workshop. All workshop hours are prerequisites for the 5Rhythms® teacher training.
