The multi-talented Banbury-based Mangoes will be bringing their individual jazz-flavoured takes on soul, funk and disco classics back to Temperance on Saturday October 10th for their third appearance here.
Bringing a stack of new set additions with them, including their own original material, expect everything from BeeGees to Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder to Sade, Grace Jones to Omar, Madeleine Peyroux to Moloko…….and beyond!
The Mangoes are experienced local musicians with a wide variety of influences. Their chilled-out musical offering has delighted audiences at the Fairport Cropredy Festival Fringe, Napton Festival, Music at the Crossroads, Banbury Mill Arts Centre and many other music venues.
Noted for their sweet 3 and 4-part vocal harmonies and classy musicianship, the Mangoes provide music for the heart, soul….and feet!
The Mangoes are: Heather - vocals; Ray – guitar/vocals; Simon (of Bush Field Smith and The Coopers) – cajon/vocals; Bill (ex Ska Train) – tenor sax and Aerophone synth; and Gordon (of The Scarecrows) – bass/vocals.
