Ready to make a difference?
Join us for Sort with Purpose, a hands-on volunteering session hosted by HYC and Cloop. Help sort donated clothing, learn about textile waste, and give pre-loved garments a better chance at finding a second home.
Why it matters
Textile waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams. By helping to sort donated clothing, you'll support the circular economy and increase the chances of garments being reused, upcycled, or recycled instead of becoming waste.
What you’ll do
- Sort and categorise donated clothing
- Identify pieces for reuse, upcycling, or recycling
- Learn how textile waste is managed in Singapore
- Work alongside like-minded youth who care about sustainability

This is a bi-monthly volunteering event, held on every third Sunday of every other month.
What to bring
👕 Wear comfortable clothing.
💧 Refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own bottle (BYOB).

✅ Need to clock VIA volunteer hours? Let us know, and we'll provide a certificate of participation as proof.
🎁 As a small token of appreciation, volunteers may bring home up to 5 pieces of clothing from the sorted items (subject to availability).
