Songwriting for Children

Songwriting is more than just fun; it’s a creative way for kids to express their thoughts and emotions while helping to develop their literacy and language skills.

What to bring: Just your child (and their favourite instrument, if they have one!).

What we’ll do:

• Learn the basic structure of a song
• Practice basic rhythm exercises
• Learn about chord progressions and rhyme schemes
• By the end of the session, the whole group will have written an original song together
