Tuesday, Nov 10th @ 6:30pm - Songwriters Soapbox is back at Ethel’s Old Corral, featuring not two, but THREE rad songwriters! We will also be celebrating the USMC’s 251st Birthday! In lieu of birthday cake, we will have exclusive drink specials for all you Devil Dogs starting at 6:30pm until the music stops!!
Featured Artists:
Songwriter, Jeff Thompson is making his long awaited return to the music scene and we made sure his first official debut is on our ticket!
Daingerfield, TX native/Los Angeles based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Silas Nello will also be making his first appearance and waited very patiently to ensure his debut was right here in Bakersfield. He is a seasoned artist that’s been a staple of the indie-Americana scene for nearly a decade, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
And last, but certainly not least, we’re bringing back Nick Slater to headline the evening!! As front man for the Tulare Dust band and also a USMC Vet, Nick remains true to the Semper Fidelis tradition by keeping an active presence in the music scene in both Porterville and Bakersfield (he’s all over the darn place - just like a dust storm). Perfectly fitted with talent and tenure, we’re looking having Nick back to the Soapbox and celebrate his other birthday!
Mark your calendars! You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to join in on the birthday celebrations and support Local • Live Music and the birthday fun for this special edition of the Songwriters Soapbox!!
USMC Birthday Drink Specials • Live Acoustic Music • All Ages • Free Show • Taco Tuesday
