On December 12, Operaen invites to a songwriters night with some of the most talented artists in the scene today.ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
NOEMI SARA:
My music is shaped by poetic reflections, critical perspectives, melancholy, and a longing for nature; a landscape of emotion and thought, where words and melodies blend to echo the raw, unfiltered poetry of the natural/unnatural world; a quiet act of rebellion, seeking to challenge, touch, and inspire; longing for a better world.
MAGNUS WINTHER:
Magnus Winther is a musician who is in the process of creating an identity and expression as an artist. It is music characterized by the voice and atmosphere, with a focus on emotions and life.
MELLEM OS:
Mellem Os is a band that gets the dancefloor going, but also puts lifes biggest emotions into words through soft ballads.
With strong political lyrics, catchy choruses and a sound inspired by funk, jazz and rock,
you are taken back in time, to a melodic and soulful universe.
COMET GIRL:
A blend of indie folk and bedroom pop, with heartfelt lyrics that feel like pages from a diary.
HELENA SAMS BAND:
Helena Sams released her debut EP “Slip Mig Fri”, January 12th, 2024. The EP offers a raw and honest portrayal of her relationship with youth and everything that comes with it. The project includes reflections on why it feels so great to be on a crowded dance floor with good company and cold beers. At the same time, it describes what happens when the despair of youth, moral hangovers, and an identity crisis creep in the day after.
During their live performances, the audience is invited to let go of their inhibitions and share the moment. The band manages to create an atmosphere where everyone feels seen and heard, even when struggling with their own thoughts. What unites them all is a desire to break free from societal norms and embrace the uniqueness of being themselves. The audience is taken on a journey through the emotional depth of music, where there is room for everything from laughter and smiles to melancholy and contemplation.
Helena Sams Band is more than just music – they are a voice for those who feel like they don’t belong. Their message is clear: It’s okay to feel too much, and it’s fine to be exactly who you are!
TIYER W. MARMELADE CULTURE
TIYER w. Marmelade Culture
Tiyer is a Copenhagen based composer drawing upon many genres in his music, pulling the listener into a dreamy yet energetic world of stories, dynamic expression and surprises, where a longing for unity is a recurring theme, in a versatile musical landscape where truthful expression is prioritized over anything else. The music is a approached as an open canvas where the only goal is meaningful exploration of reality, and where the idea of "good" and bad" music doesnt exist. Tiyer began his career as a musician in the Copenhagen electronic music scene as a part of the music collective Marmelade Culture, creating communities around experimental and electronic music with other producers, with new concepts such as Electronic Sessions and Mics that up until that point had only been seen in the UK. This debut was well recepted, and within a short timespan catapulted its creators into the entire Copenhagen music scene, teaming up with fellow Zealots from the Songwriter scene, Jazz scene, Poetry Slam, Demo and Impro scene, and eventually reached international ground, with several shows throughout Europe every year, and the first US concerts to take place in March 2025. Lately the Marmelade movement has reached danish television on Kanal 1 and radio at 97,7 FM with the shows “Marmelade Magasine” and “Marmeladio”, focusing on artistic discussion, live collaboration and interviews. Tiyer is currently working on music for several video game titles to be released in 2025, and has worked on concerts, releases and workshops with a string of legendary musicians such as Elias Bendix, Tobias Trier, Malene Mortensen, Rikke Bjerre, Hannah Muir, Niklas Timmer Kristensen, Laust Eberhardt Bonnesen, Jesper Pyskow, Daniel Carlos Goldfield, Frederik Moth, Frederik Hjulmand, Christopher And The Lost Binocular, Mucky Kid and Normal Original, Ulrik Lindgren, Monika Banyte, Bjarke Treufeldt, Oscar Schjerbeck, Pernille Isedora, Kathrine Brøndsted and the list continues. Tiyer is also working as a booker and arranger for unique and innovative show concepts, such as "Forest Concerts" a concept created by multi-musician Oscar Schjerbeck, and personalised private concerts with pop acts like Tim Schou. Lately Tiyer has been focusing on personal, introspective songwriting, and will this night be combining that work with an eclectic set of different styles, performed with a full orchestra, consisting of musicians from the beaming new skyrocketing community of artists in Copenhagen, now often just referred to The Marmelade Culture .
