This is an interactive night - feel free to ask the artists questions about music, songwriting, creative influences, or anything else!Shenan Hahn is a singer-songwriter and guitarist based out of Lebanon Church, Virginia. Born and raised in Virginia and the DC area, and molded by her years living and working in Oregon and Alaska, Shenan's music is deeply rooted in a sense of place, whether it's the rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley or the wide open spaces of the west. Whether playing electric or acoustic, her music weaves together blues, folk, and country influences with vivid, timeless storytelling and haunting vocals.
Sam Hank is a singer/songwriter focused on relaying contemporary existence through the vernacular of traditional American music, influenced by everything from blazing traditionals to old time mountain music to pre-war blues to more contemporary artists like Malcom Holcombe and Justin Townes Earle. Sam plays a variety of fingerstyle techniques on an acoustic guitar without picks that compliments his powerful lyricism.
