Aleksi and Eva
"Aleksi and Eva perform atmospheric indie pop songs on guitar and synthesizer. Singing in English and Russian, they write music about the war, reflecting on the status of "perpetual outsiders" that it forces upon people through displacement. Living as immigrants in Athens and experiencing the collapse of the Russian-speaking community, they strive to send a message of hope, rooted in anti-mobilization and the creation of songs and sounds. Ideally, they want to write the soundtrack for the closing scene: the train riding into the sunset, a slow fade-out."
Panagiotis Charalampopoulos
"Panagiotis Charalampopoulos is an Athens-based musician and songwriter. As a double bassist, he is active in a number of projects within the city’s jazz and improvised music scene. In this acoustic set, he steps into the role of singer-songwriter to present his original material, blending indie and folk songwriting with touches of grunge."
