Join us on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 4PM–6PM at Tampa Heights Community Center for a powerful cultural journey honoring the history, pain, resilience, and triumph of the African American experience.
🌍 Featuring guest artist Andrew Egbuchiem, originally from Nigeria, opening the evening with songs performed in his native African language — reconnecting us to the roots of Africa.
🖤 Experience soul-stirring spirituals and selections centered around slavery, oppression, perseverance, and hope performed by soprano Maiya Stevenson alongside accompanist Aina Olonade.
💃🏾 Featuring dance artist Katurah Robinson in a moving interpretive performance during the a cappella spiritual “Lord, How Come Me Here.”
🥁 Ending with the electrifying Kuumba Dancers & Drummers celebrating liberation, joy, culture, and freedom through African dance and rhythm.
