About this Event
Welcome to Songs & Stories in the Woods! 🎵📖🌳
Come and join us in the woods for a morning of Italian songs and stories with your little ones. This is a relaxed community meet-up. We would love a little bit of adult contribution by sharing a story or a song (books will be provided), but if you don't feel comfortable with this, it is not a problem at all. Just come along and join in whatever way you can!
What to expect?
A cozy circle, a few Italian songs, a story or two, and lots of space for the kids to explore if that is what they prefer!
Tickets
These sessions are free, we simply ask you to reserve a ticket so we can keep an eye on numbers on the day.
We will be outdoors, so it's weather permitting. If the weather looks really bad on the morning we might have to cancel the session, and we will let you know as early as we can.
How to find us
You will find the log circle next to a big wooden table, which is on the main path that cuts through the woodland. If you are coming from Kelbourne Street, it is approximately 50m from the entrance and on the left hand side of the path. If coming from Clouston Street, it is approximately 100m from the entrance and on the right hand side of the path.
About The Children's Wood
The Children’s Wood and Meadow make up the last wild space in the west end of Glasgow. This space is vitally important for our local community. It is a place where people get together, picnic, garden and play. It’s a space where everyone can come together without the pressure to buy stuff. The Children’s Wood organise regular events and manage the land alongside the wider community. Our aim is to connect people to nature, raise aspirations and involve people in the management of the land. (https://thechildrenswood.co.uk/)
