Come to a ritual art fire circle, where we drum, dance, sing, freestyle flow, story tell and fire spin as one co-creative, circumambulating container around the fire. Song Circle for the People is a singing group that meets in Pittsburgh, PA and beyond to share songs, stories, and meaningful moments around the fire. Halloween is our favorite circle, our favorite time to be up at Bandi Shaum, bringing our magic and our energy to the space. Many hands make light work.
Help loading in at 6-6:30 is needed! Please message if you can assist. Two torch bearers, to fill and care for the torches around our fire. Two Rangoli makers—drawing our circle out in flour, adding some elementals to it if you wanna get fancy. Two fire tenders, two food altar set up/take down folks, and drummers are essential parts of making our time in circle together special. Please message on the discussion board or pm Genevieve Wallis about helping pre or post circle.
Song Circle for the People is a by donation circle. NTAFLOF. Suggested donations: $15, $25, $35 as your income allows. Giving energy back in this way helps organizers pay for the wood and fuel costs of the circle. If you can bring wood, or have a good source on a car load for us to take there, please let us know.
The circle usually goes as long as it goes, often very very late into the night, but we will have a 1-2am close this time around due to my grandmother’s celebration of being 100 the next day! What a gift!
