Somatic Yoga Workshops: Come Home to Your Body

Modern life often asks us to override our body— pushing through fatigue and discomfort in order to perform and be productive. Many movement modalities ask us to discipline and transcend. This trauma-informed somatic yoga workshop offers another way.
Rather than forcing the body into fixed shapes, this practice invites you to explore embodied movement in a way that feels personal, grounding, and sustainable.
The workshop takes place on the first Saturday of every month from September to December. Participants can join individual session. Those joining all four sessions enjoy 20% off.
Date: Sep 6, Oct 3, Nov 7, Dec 5 (Saturday)
Monthly theme:
💫Moving Beyond Habit (Sep 6)
💫Finding Your Voice (Oct 3)
💫Slowing Down to Belong (Nov 7)
💫Receiving Abundant Support (Dec 5)
Time: 4:30-5:45 pm
Venue: The Dance Centre, 677 Davie Street
Investment: $22, $17.6@ if joining all sessions
(E-transfer to [email protected] to avoid Eventbrite fees. Enquiries to the same email)

About the facilitator:
Angora is a trauma-informed somatic yoga teacher with over 15 years of practice and teaching combined and 1300+ hours of training.
Her own journey through injury, nervous system dysregulation, relocation, pregnancy, and motherhood gradually shifted her relationship with movement away from performance and toward a more sustainable and embodied approach.
Today, she blends somatics with yoga to create spaces where students can reconnect with themselves gently, honestly, and without pressure to perform.
