This is it. The one that starts it all. Redditch Revival's launch night is going to be a very special evening, and we're delighted to announce that Nigel Clark of Dodgy will be our first ever artist.
Born and raised in Headless Cross, Redditch, Nigel's passion for music started at a young age, working in a record shop at just 14 years old. After picking up a guitar in the mid 80s, he would go on to co-found Dodgy and find major success throughout the 1990s.
With Dodgy, Nigel enjoyed chart-topping success and critical acclaim. The band's unique blend of indie and rock quickly garnered a loyal fanbase, and they became a staple of the UK music scene. Their single 'Good Enough' reached number 4 in the UK charts, while 'Staying Out for the Summer' and 'If You're Thinking of Me' both became top 20 hits. Their album 'Free Peace Sweet' climbed to number 7 in the UK album chart. The band made multiple appearances on Top of the Pops and performed at Glastonbury Festival in 1993, 1995 and 1997, cementing their place as one of the defining acts of the Britpop era.
After Dodgy disbanded in the early 2000s, Nigel pursued a solo career, releasing several albums and continuing to captivate audiences with his soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics. His solo work showcases his versatility as a musician, with influences ranging from folk to indie rock. Nigel's music continues to resonate with fans old and new, and he remains a respected figure in the British music industry.
In 2026, Dodgy are back with a brand new album 'Hello Beautiful' and a full UK and Ireland tour, proving they are very much still at the top of their game. That makes this a genuinely rare opportunity to see Nigel stripped back, raw and intimate, away from the full band setting, in a room of just fifty people.
Now, for one night only, Nigel is coming home. Back to Headless Cross, where it all started, to perform at The Hart. Fifty people. One incredible performer. No barriers, no distractions, just pure, raw, up-close live music in one of the most intimate settings you'll ever experience. The kind of night you'll be talking about for years.
The start of something special. Be part of it from night one.
