Redefining “I am”a poetry writing workshop led by Jezmin Denise
Materials: participants should bring a journal and a pen
Goal: This workshop will hold a mirror up to the participants. It will ask us to examine how we see ourselves and how we show up in this world. It is all well and dandy to say to yourself “I am worthy”; but poetry allows us to paint a picture of what that worthy looks like. So we are redefining “I am” by naming all the specifics that make us whole.
