Soft Opening of The Inner Stage by Artist WERIEM

The Inner Stage / La Scène Intérieure explores the private emotional landscapes that linger beneath the surface of the face. Focusing exclusively on the eyes, I approach the gaze as a space where memory, vulnerability, and expectation become visible, even when nothing is spoken. By isolating the gaze and concealing much of the face, The Inner Stage leaves the story incomplete. The viewer is invited to fill that absence with their own memories, interpretations, and emotions. Each painting becomes both stage and mirror: a fragment of someone else’s interior world that may unexpectedly reveal something of our own.
