How to get people to your comedy shows using organic social mediaA workshop for Wellington comics!
Most of us got into comedy to be funny on stage, not to run a social media account. But these days, getting people along to see you in person usually involves doing a bit of both.
Samantha Hannah (2026 Billy T nominee) is a stand-up comedian at night and a social media specialist by day. She's keen to share what she's learned about using organic social media to sell out shows, and to swap ideas with other comics in Wellington who are doing the same.
This is a relaxed, practical session where we'll chat about:
Ideas of what to post
Leaning into community when posting online
Turning your existing material into clips
Finding a posting rhythm that fits around your busy life and schedule
How to avoid social media burnout
Nurturing and building an audience long before telling them you have a show you want them to come watch!
All levels welcome! Advanced questions can be submitted by sending a DM via fb or Instagram (@samanthahannahcomedy). You’ll also get lots of opportunities to ask questions on the day.
