About this Event
Human trafficking doesn't stop for the Super Bowl.
As nearly one million visitors come to the Los Angeles area for Super Bowl weekend, the SOAP Project is bringing volunteers together for SOAP UP LA 27 on January 30, 2027, to help local hotels and motels recognize the signs of human trafficking and connect victims with help.
During this free volunteer event, you'll:
- Learn how human trafficking impacts our communities and why major events like the Super Bowl are an important time to raise awareness
- Hear live from human trafficking survivor and SOAP Project Founder Theresa Flores as she shares her story and leads the outreach training
- Help label bars of soap and makeup remover wipes with human trafficking awareness information
- Prepare awareness materials and missing teen posters for local hotels and motels
- Join a team delivering these critical materials to hotels and motels throughout the Los Angeles area
Take it one step further than awareness. Help us put potentially life-saving information directly into the places where victims may see it.
No experience is necessary. Training and all materials are provided.
Please Note: Volunteers participating in the hotel outreach must be at least 16 years old and accompanied by an adult.
