About this Event
Studio on the Farm is hosting a special beginner soapmaking workshop with our friend Barbara Lott from Corner Lott Farm. A little about them:
"At Corner Lott Farm we are real people growing real food, chemical free. We grow with love for our family and others to enjoy the goodness that our land produces."
Join us as Barbara teaches you how to make beautiful, artisan bars of soap using a plant-based recipe and simple tools you probably have at home!
This is a 4-hour afternoon workshop. You'll come away with a soap-mold filled with your own custom soap, ready to set, cut and then cure. All materials, recipes and instructions are provided. Barbara has a wealth of knowledge about soapmaking and makes the process very accessible, friendly and fun.
Bonus tip - the soap you make now will be cured and ready for the holiday gifting season and you'll have 10 bars to keep or gift!
This small but mighty workshop has a minimum requirement of 4 people and a maximum of 8, so grab your tickets fast to secure your spot!
This workshop is a collaboration with Corner Lott Farm and will take place at Studio on the Farm, which is located just a pleasant country drive (about 20 mins) North of Belleville and the surrounding area. The studio is run by local artist, designer and tractor-driver Jenny Pries.
Studio on the Farm is an open, welcoming space for all. Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be provided. Spacious washroom, a lounge area and for those with mobility issues, there are no stairs to climb as it is walk-in level. Please let Jenny know if you have any dietary restrictions, mobility requirements and anything else we can assist with to make your afternoon stress-free and enjoyable! We look forward to seeing you there!
