Description of Workshop/ Class:
Get ready for a season of hosting and holiday cheer with this fun and practical sewing class! We are welcoming back Renee’s Stitch & Style School as our guest artist for this special seasonal workshop. This class is perfect for students who have completed Sewing Machine Basics or have some prior sewing experience.
In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn how to read, lay out a pattern and apply basic garment construction techniques to create a beautiful, functional apron. A variety of holiday prints and patterns will be available for a $20 materials fee, or students are welcome to bring their own fabric.
Suggested patterns include McCall’s 5284 or Simplicity 3949 (includes both a child and adult pattern) which can be ordered through Simplicity.com, or students may bring their favorite apron pattern. Estimated fabric requirements are 2 yards for a full apron or 1 yard for a half apron. Trim is optional. Please contact the instructor for more detailed yardage.
This project is ideal for building confidence at the sewing machine while creating something both stylish and useful. Make an apron for yourself or as a thoughtful handmade gift for an adult or child that loves to cook, bake, serve in style or as an artists apron.
Please note: Project completion is not guaranteed and may vary based on individual pace and project complexity.
Students are welcome to bring their own working sewing machine or use one of the machines provided. All other equipment is provided.

· When engaging in any craft or art project, you may be using tools and materials such as as sewing machines, cutting craft machines, irons, heat presses, glue and heat guns, kraft knives, glass, shells, very small objects, sharp materials, and chemicals (this list is representative, not all-inclusive and other tools and materials may be used). By completing this registration and payment, you agree to knowingly and freely assume all risk of injury or harm, both known and unknown, even if arising from the environment or negligence of the property owner, instructor, or other and you assume full responsibility and risk for your participation.
· Any special needs seating or other arrangements must be requested in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
If you are registering for more than just yourself, you must make your guest aware of all the information included in this registration.
· Photos may be taken during your class/workshop and used for business purposes (including but not limited to advertisements, instructional materials, signage, etc.). By attending this event, you are agreeing to be photographed or have your work photographed for these purposes.

Cancellation policy: You will receive a credit toward another SMP class by the artist teaching/ hosting the workshop you registered for, if he or she is notified of cancellation at least one week prior to class date, No Shows will not be credited or refunded.
