With the release of their anticipated debut album, ‘Songs For The Desert’ released on Hamburg based label ‘Légère Recordings’ which received rave reviews in magazines like Rolling Stone and a successful tour across Europe, Smith & Liddle head out on a UK & German tour alongside their full band stopping at North Shields ‘A Stones Throw Festival’ on 23rd May.Raised on the sounds of Laurel Canyon and the British Invasion, (Billy) Smith & (Elizabeth) Liddle grew up 25 miles away from each other in small towns but only meet when Billy was on the lookout for a vocalist. The chemistry between the pair was instant, and over time their intertwined musical sensibilities evolved into something unique. With journals filled with lyrics and a treasure trove of musical ideas bubbling, the pair finally entered the studio to create their homage to soft rock, culminating in Songs For The Desert.
