Are you concerned about riding a bicycle in traffic? Do you want to build your confidence and skill level? This Smart Cycling class provides the lessons, tips, tools, and techniques you need to confidently say yes to these questions.The on-bike portion of this Smart Cycling Class will take place on Saturday, September 26 at the University of Illinois-Chicago. This on-bike class includes practical skills, proof of proficiency, road riding, group riding and basic bicycle maintenance. League Certified Instructors (LCIs) will be facilitating the class and is limited to 10 participants. The cost of the class is $30.
The Smart Cycling curriculum has been designed by the League of American Bicyclists to increase confidence and competence on a bicycle. This class is also a prerequisite to become a LCI (League Cycling Instructor). One must successfully complete the prerequisite online class (available at https://learn.bikeleague.org/p/smartcycling) prior to participating in this on-bike class.
