Inspired by Small Wonders: Reimagining British Art, create your own miniature world of memories, places, and personal connections with Base resident artist Samantha Emmons. Experiment with mixed media, textures, inks, and layered surfaces while crafting a unique concertina sketchbook to display in our Runway Gallery before taking it home.
What to Expect:
Have fun experimenting with a variety of mixed media and creative techniques while exploring your own memories and connections. The collection of miniature worlds created during these workshops will then be hung in our runway gallery during the exhibition so you can return to see them on display.

Who is your tutor:
Base resident artist Samantha Emmons explores the relationship between nature and painting in her dynamic work. Her focus is the fluidity, transparency, reflection, tactility, organic ephemeral qualities which evoke the metamorphosis of life. Alongside being an artist, Sam teaches full time, completes commissions and creates are within the community.
