About this Event
We're bringing together approximately 30–40 people who are actively:
Building businesses.
Producing events.
Growing communities.
Selling specialized services.
Developing brands.
Creating partnerships.
Solving real problems.
If you're working on something and looking for other capable people to build, buy, sell, collaborate or exchange ideas with, this room was designed for you.
Small Talk is built around a simple idea:
You'll move through a series of structured 7-minute conversations with people throughout the room.
That's enough time to understand:
- What do they actually do?
- What are they building?
- What can they help with?
- What do they need?
- Is there a reason for the conversation to continue?
You don't need to meet everybody.
You need to meet a few people you actually have a reason to know.
How Small Talk Works
1. WE LEARN WHO'S COMING
During registration, we'll ask what you're building, what you provide and what kind of people or opportunities would be useful to you.
Our team reviews those responses before the event so we understand who's entering the room.
2. YOU GET SEVEN MINUTES
Instead of rushing through introductions, Small Talk gives you seven-minute conversation cycles.
- Talk business.
- Exchange ideas.
- Ask questions.
- Pitch something you're working on.
- Learn something.
- Figure out whether there's an opportunity worth continuing.
3. WE HANDLE THE CONTACT EXCHANGE
Small Talk uses Reuneo to support the structured experience.
Instead of wasting the end of every conversation searching Instagram, scanning QR codes or typing phone numbers:
SPEND THE CONVERSATION TALKING. WE'LL HANDLE THE CONTACT EXCHANGE.
4. WE MAKE INTRODUCTIONS TOO
Not every valuable relationship should be left to chance.
Based on who's in the room, the Railz team will identify people who may have complementary:
- Businesses
- Needs
- Services
- Expertise
- Audiences
- Opportunities
- Projects
If we think two people should know each other, we're going to introduce them.
5. SOME CONVERSATIONS BECOME MEDIA
Railz will also have a media station capturing select attendees, ideas and projects throughout the evening.
If you're building something interesting or have a strong perspective worth sharing, you may have an opportunity to sit down with us and talk about it.
Selected soundbites may be distributed through Railz Network and related media channels.
Media coverage is not guaranteed with admission.
Who Should Be in the Room?
Small Talk is primarily designed for people who already have something in motion.
OWNERS + FOUNDERS
Building businesses, products, services or new ventures.
EVENT PRODUCERS + COMMUNITY BUILDERS
Producing recurring events, experiences, conferences, activations or communities.
CONSULTANTS + EXPERTS
Bringing specialized knowledge that solves real business problems.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
Offering differentiated services that other businesses, brands or event producers may actually need.
BRANDS + BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Bringing products, partnerships, sponsorships, distribution or opportunities into the ecosystem.
STRATEGIC CREATIVES
Creators and media professionals building differentiated businesses, audiences, intellectual property or specialized capabilities.
WILDCARDS
People doing interesting work that doesn't fit neatly into one category but can clearly contribute value to the room.
What Should You Bring?
You don't need a rehearsed elevator pitch.
But you should be able to answer:
What are you building?
What can somebody come to you for?
What kind of person or opportunity would be useful to you right now?
That's enough to start a good conversation.

Why Plume?
Small Talk happens inside hospitality spaces because environment matters.
Plume gives us a polished, cocktail-forward setting where conversations can happen naturally without making the experience feel like a conference or corporate meeting.
Come experience the venue while meeting the people inside it.
Food and beverages are purchased separately unless otherwise noted.
This is a Gathering of the Railz Network
Small Talk is one of the in-person experiences produced through Railz Hospitality and Railz Network.
We're building an ecosystem connecting people creating value across:
Events.
Hospitality.
Business.
Brands.
Community.
Experiences.
Small Talk creates the introduction.
Railz Network gives those relationships somewhere to continue.
After the event, attendees will have the opportunity to join the free Railz Network to discover future events, opportunities, case studies, resources and people throughout the ecosystem.
