We are so excited to announce the launch of our first hiking adventure abroad. We have teamed up with Tatra Escapes, in Slovakia, to provide a relaxed and friendly hiking holiday (with a hint of rafting and cycling thrown in).
Join us for a refreshing 3-night, 4-day adventure in Slovakia — a perfectly balanced getaway combining scenic hiking, gentle adventure, and time to unwind. Designed for those looking to explore beautiful landscapes without long or technical days, this trip offers an accessible introduction to Slovakia’s wild spaces.
Based near the historic town of Poprad, you’ll explore two contrasting national parks: the dramatic alpine scenery of Tatra Mountains National Park and the river valleys and limestone landscapes of Pieniny National Park. Each day brings a different flavour of adventure — from peaceful mountain lakes and waterfalls to open valleys, forest trails, and welcoming mountain huts.
Hikes on this trip are beginner-friendly and unhurried, with time to take in the views, enjoy the journey, and build confidence on the trail. Routes are chosen for their beauty rather than difficulty, making this an ideal option if you’re new to multi-day hiking or simply want a more relaxed mountain experience.
The adventure continues beyond hiking with a fun, beginner-friendly water rafting experience in Pieniny National Park, paired with a scenic cycling section — a playful and memorable way to experience the region’s rivers and landscapes.
Evenings are free to relax and explore at your own pace, with optional visits to a nearby thermal water park and spa offering the perfect way to unwind after active days outdoors.
With comfortable accommodation, professional guides from both Tatra Escapes and Abigail's Trails, and all logistics taken care of, this short escape is about slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and enjoying adventure in a supportive, welcoming environment.
