About this event
Sloss City Music Festival
Birmingham hasn't had its own festival since Sloss Fest. This September, it's back.
Friday, September 18, Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark turns into the biggest dance floor Alabama has ever had. This isn't a field with speakers set up in it. It's a working piece of Birmingham history — the smokestacks frame the stage, the old casting sheds become the dance floor, and for one night the whole site is yours.
Henry Fong headlines. Mattilo and Shankz play a back-to-back set. Twenty-two Birmingham DJs play across the night, so if you've been following the local scene, you'll see familiar names on the bill.
Three stages, one price point that respects your wallet: tickets start at $25, and that price ends once the first 1,000 are sold. After that, it goes up. 18+ event, with 21+ zones for anyone who wants a drink.
This is more than a lineup. It's Birmingham's night out — the one where you don't have to explain why you're going. Get on the list, get your ticket, and be able to say you were there for year one.
Where the iron poured.
