SLOCOG: US 101 NB Off-Ramp & SR 46 East Improvements Community Workshop

Drivers exiting US 101 northbound onto SR 46 East regularly face backups, especially on weekends and during peak season, as queues on the off-ramp spill back onto the freeway mainline. The preferred design (Alternative 1) would lengthen and widen the off-ramp, add a dedicated left-turn/through lane and two right-turn lanes, and widen the US 101/SR 46 E Connector Bridge — thereby reducing backups and improving safety at this interchange.

This project is included in SLOCOG's 2014 US 101 Corridor Master Mobility Plan and the adopted 2025 Regional Transportation Plan, and is currently in the environmental and design phase.
