Facilitator
Brent Uken is Chief Executive Officer of Speakeasy Inc., a global leader in communication effectiveness with a 53-year legacy of developing executives from the world's leading companies.
Brent's relationship with Speakeasy began 28 years ago, not as an employee, but as a client. As a professional at Ernst & Young, he quickly realized that elite performance demanded more than technical expertise: it required the ability to communicate with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
At EY, Brent spent nearly three decades in the Transaction Advisory Services practice, including 20 years as a Partner advising companies of all sizes, from global enterprises to early-stage ventures, on capital allocation, investment decisions, and valuation. Having worked across PE firms, family offices, and C-suites, he understands firsthand the pressure leaders face when the stakes are high and the room is skeptical.
Brent now leads Speakeasy with a practitioner's conviction that communication is a learnable discipline, not an innate gift. He holds a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, a CFA designation, and is completing a Ph.D. in Integrated Health Sciences. He is currently conducting research that directly informs his work on behavior change and how leaders elevate their communication effectiveness.
