Play with a variety of underglaze techniques on slabs, and create a one-of-a-kind slab constructed mug!About this Event
In this one-day class, students will learn how to make their own underglaze transfers using newsprint, which can be applied to slabs along with stenciled underglaze designs, direct underglaze painting, and sgraffito. They will then use provided templates (or create their own) to cut and assemble a mug (or two!) from their slabs.
Students are encouraged to come in during Wednesday Open Studios to glaze their work.
This class is taught by multimedia artist Glenn Hendrick.
This class is held at the ceramics studio at 1255 Wold Rd. Directions and parking information will be included in your confirmation email.
Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that classes meet their minimums in order to run! If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout.
