About this Event
In this three-part, hands-on workshop, you’ll draw self-portraits using traditional techniques and some weird, fun prompts, then bind your sketches into a simple notebook you can keep filling. No experience needed. Come get creative, learn three new skills (sketching, portrait drawing, and bookbinding), and meet other people. All supplies will be provided.
Sharon Y. Li is a Brooklyn-based artist specializing in Chinese ink painting and oil painting. She teaches art workshops across New York and Beijing and, as a primarily self-taught artist, her goal is to make art less “serious”, more accessible to beginners, and more fun and weird. Sharon holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.A. from Tsinghua University. To explore her art and follow more of her workshops, find her on Instagram (@sharonli.studio).
