About this Event
Come spend a Saturday afternoon sketching, observing, and getting creative with us at Saratoga Park in Bed-Stuy.
Sketch Social is a relaxed outdoor gathering for anyone who wants to spend some time drawing alongside fellow creative neighbors. There’s no formal, step-by-step drawing class and no pressure to be “good” at drawing; just a welcoming space to slow down, observe your surroundings, and make something.
That said, you won’t be left on your own! An instructor will be there throughout the session to guide optional drawing exercises, offer creative prompts, and provide support and feedback if you’d like it.
Sketch the trees. Sketch the people passing by. Sketch the architecture. Or follow along with one of the exercises and see where your pencil takes you.
✏️ What to Bring
We'll provide basic drawing materials, so you don't need to bring anything to participate.
Please bring a blanket or something comfortable to sit on! We'll be sketching and gathering in the park, and seating is not provided.
If you have a favorite sketchbook, pencils, pens, or other drawing tools, feel free to bring them along too!
