SIPS & BOARDSA Basil Hayden Cocktail + Charcuterie Experience

Sips & Boards is an interactive cocktail and charcuterie experience designed to help guests elevate their hosting game. Whether they’re planning for game day, holiday parties or simply having friends over for drinks, guests learn how to curate a charcuterie board around the cocktails they’re serving…and understand why certain flavors work together.
THE EXPERIENCE
Guests arrive approximately 10 minutes before class and are greeted with a welcome drink. At 6:00 PM, we’ll kick things off with introductions and a quick look at how matching, balancing and cutting flavors can completely change a cocktail and food pairing.
Rather than building one traditional board, guests select a variety of meats, cheeses, fruits and accompaniments (such as honey, fig spread and mustard) from a central charcuterie display and bring their selections back to their seats.
Then the tasting begins.
We’ll work through three Basil Hayden cocktails, starting with the Blackberry Bramble featuring Basil Hayden Dark Rye, followed by the Basil 75 featuring the classic Basil Hayden and Apple Cider Spritz featuring the Basil Hayden Golden Rye.
With each cocktail, guests create their own small bites, experiment with different combinations and decide whether the pairing matches, balances or cuts the flavors in their drink. As a group, we’ll share what worked, what surprised us and how guests can use the same approach when creating boards at home.
FROM ONE COCKTAIL TO A PARTY
We’ll finish the class with one of the most useful tricks for holiday entertaining: how to take a cocktail recipe written for one person and turn it into a large-format batch cocktail for a party.
Guests leave with the tools and inspiration to recreate the experience at home.
