For the last of our "once a month" short Saturday walks for 2026, we return to Singleton, for a walk of about 7 miles, which differs from the one we did back in May.We head out again through Bucksford Meadow, across Great Chart Playing Fields, to meet the Greensand Way (GW) & Stour Valley Walk (SVW), up Chart Avenue. The route then leaves the SVW, to remain on the GW venturing into the parkland of the Godinton House Estate, in the direction of Hothfield.
Upon reaching Worten, there is a short section of road to follow, across to Goldwell and onward to Great Chart, where we rejoin the GW. Before finishing, our walk goes through the Ashford Community Woodland to pass beside the Singleton Environment Centre.
Dogs welcome but on short lead when required.
Difficulty: Leisurely
Ascent: 400ft
Starting point - Please use car park for the Singleton Centre shops, off Hoxton Close, directly opposite the Singleton Barn pub, but do not park in the pub car park.
