Human Bingo: Over 30s Singles Night
Thursday 19 November · 7.30pm · Tequila Mockingbird, St Albans
Everyone in this room is carrying a story. Maybe it’s a scar from something they really shouldn’t have tried. Maybe it’s a country they visited on a whim, or a celebrity they once embarrassed themselves in front of.
The game: every square on your card is a prompt. Find someone it fits, write their name down, and get the story behind it. Fair warning: the story is always better than the square.
The prize: be one of the first three to complete a line and your drink is on us. Be the first to complete the grid - we have a bottle with your name on it. Lose, and you’ve still met half the room, which is honestly the better prize. You may be asked to tell us one of the stories to verify!
The wildcard: the karaoke room upstairs is ours all night. Duets are an excellent way to find out if you are in harmony. This is of course optional for those that feel the call.
The quiet bit: your digital match card. If someone’s story, laugh or questionable song choice stuck with you, give them a heart. If it’s mutual, you’ll both find out. If not, it stays between you and your phone.
For over 30s, with no upper limit. This is for grown-ups who’d rather feel the spark across a cocktail bar than guess at it through a screen.
Come on your own. Everyone’s got a card, so nobody’s stuck for something to say.
