OCNLR Level 4 Applied Water Treadmill Techniques for Canine Hydrotherapy - completion of GAIT is a requirement to attend this two day course.
This blended course offers the flexibility to move ahead with your studies before attending for practical training.

Practical training takes place in Singapore where we have a long-standing association with our training partner Anna Tong at Hydro Paws Plus. We have known Anna and worked together for over ten years. She will be pleased to help with advice, travel information or any local queries.
Singapore is a great travel hub and so easy to travel to from many countries in Asia. With great accommodation and restaurant options, plus lots to see and do, your recreation time will be rewarding and exciting. It is one of our favourite training destinations!
This course can be taken as a Continuing Education or a qualification course. It covers gait assessment and advanced skills in water treadmill and canine hydrotherapy. We will cover case selection, advanced handling and problem solving. If you have a complex case load this course will give you the knowledge to adapt techniques to gain the best possible gait and rehabilitation outcomes using the water treadmill. Online lectures, all course materials, three attendance days and provision of practice dogs are all included.
Your pre-study is provided via Moodle, our online education platform.
This course is suitable for veterinarians, veterinary physiotherapists, veterinary nurses/vet techs who hold hydrotherapy/physiotherapy qualifications and those with canine hydrotherapy qualifications at Level 3 or Level 4. Please enquire for guidance about course relevance or suitability for you.

This course is a blended learning course including online study and three attendance days with lectures, observations and hands-on practical training.
We want you to be fully prepared so you can gain the most from your practical training so we have provided a lot of online education material for you. Pre-study and successful completion of revision test/quizzes is required prior to attendance days.
Attendance days
There are three required practical training attendance days Hydro Paws Plus, Singapore
Day 1 – practical gait assessment, observations, revision of gait terms and working together in teams.
Days 2 and 3 – you will observe and join in with water treadmill sessions for a variety of dogs and conditions. We will film and review some of these sessions in class.
