Join Y.D.N. and Gem Studio in Chinook, Calgary, for a hands-on silversmithing workshop where you'll learn how to create your own piece of sterling silver jewelry from scratch.
Whether you've always wanted a custom silver ring, a bracelet, a pendant, or something completely your own, this is your chance to get creative, learn a new skill, and make something you'll actually want to wear.
You'll be guided by an expert silversmith who will walk you through the process, from choosing your design and materials to shaping, hammering, soldering, and finishing your piece.
The best part? You get to make it your own.
Choose a gemstone to add a little colour, create a textured silver design, or keep it simple with a word or saying hammered directly into the silver. Whether your style is minimal, meaningful, or a little more adventurous, your finished piece will be completely unique to you.
What You'll Make
Your ticket includes the guided silversmithing workshop, where you'll create your own sterling silver jewelry.
Depending on your design, you can explore options such as:
- Sterling silver rings
- Bracelets

- Personalized designs featuring a word, phrase, or hammered lettering
- Gemstone additions and other optional details
Your design and available options will be explored with your silversmith during the workshop.
How It Works
1. Arrive & Get Set Up
Meet your silversmith, get your drink, settle into your workspace, and get introduced to the studio and tools.
2. Choose Your Design
Decide what you'd like to create, select your silver, and explore gemstones and other optional additions.
3. Learn the Techniques
Your expert silversmith will guide you through the process and show you how to safely use the tools and techniques needed to make your piece.
4. Make Your Jewelry
Get hands-on as you hammer, shape, texture, solder, and finish your design, with guidance along the way.
5. Take It Home
Leave with a finished, one-of-a-kind piece of sterling silver jewelry made by you!
Ticket & Pricing Information
The $95 ticket covers the guided silversmithing workshop and a non alcoholic drink. The cost of your chosen gemstone and any optional additions are extra.
- Gemstones start at about $5, with options up to around $45.
- Adding a gemstone is completely optional.
- Prefer something simple? You can create a silver design featuring a word or saying hammered directly into the metal without adding a gemstone.
Your final cost will depend on additions you choose.
