Step back into the golden age of movies and experience a landmark silent film the way it was meant to be seen — on the big screen with live musical accompaniment.Join us at the Venango Museum for Silent Film Night: Wings with Live Organ Accompaniment, featuring live music by Donnie Rankin on our historic Wurlitzer theater organ.
Before movies had sound, music brought every scene to life, shaping the drama, romance, action, and emotion of the story in real time. This is your chance to experience film the way audiences did nearly 100 years ago.
Wings (1927), starring Clara Bow, Charles “Buddy” Rogers, and Richard Arlen, is an epic silent drama of friendship, love, and aerial combat during World War I. It also made history as the first film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
- Live organ accompaniment by Donnie Rankin during the entire film
- Performed on a fully restored historic theater organ
- Complimentary popcorn, classic candies, and soda
- A powerful, cinematic, and unique night out
