About this Event
Headphones on, Austin. Bollywood, Tollywood and everything in between, at The Domain, Amy Donovan Plaza.
Overview
When the sun goes down on Panchabhootam, the plaza turns into a dance floor.
Join SAIVA on Saturday, November 14, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM for a silent disco at The Domain's Amy Donovan Plaza. Bollywood, Tollywood, and everything in between, playing straight into your headphones under the open Texas sky.
This is the closing celebration of Panchabhootam, SAIVA's festival of the five great elements: earth, water, fire, air and space. All afternoon, the elements come alive through the senses. The silent disco ends the day with sound, the sense of space, and everyone dancing together.
At SAIVA, we believe every generation has something to give and something to learn. So bring your grandmother, your kids, your college roommate and your neighbors. Some of our best dancers have been practicing in our weekly classes since May.
How it works
When you arrive, you'll pick up a pair of wireless headphones. 3 channels each play a different mix, and the light on your headset shows which one you're tuned to, so you can find the people dancing to your song.
Want to talk? Slide one ear off. No shouting over speakers, and no ringing ears on the drive home. It's the most social way to dance.
Make a day of it
Come early for the free Panchabhootam festival from 3 to 6 PM at the same plaza:
- Experience the elements
- Dance performances
- Seed ball creation, art, and fermentation activities
- Food for purchase and a market
- Family activities for all ages
