Join local artist Daisy Jones for a hands-on workshop exploring the superstitions we carry, inherited, remembered, or born from a need for protection, and translating them into something material.
Taking inspiration from the old belief that witches could cross the sea in cracked eggshells, through guided discussion and hands-on making, participants will work with papier-mache and a shared apothecary of ordinary and natural materials to shape a personal material and symbol of their own.
Please bring an object or story connected to a superstition of your own as this will be the starting point for the session.
This is a hands-on, tactile workshop, so please wear clothes you don't mind getting a little messy.
