Join us tonight for soulful live music, silent auction and raffle in support of Sight & Sound, a Livermore-based nonprofit that provides free vision care (including eye exams and eyewear) to musical artists without access to optical health care. Sight and Sound has served thousands of artists across the country over the last decade.
HEADLINER: From Kampala, Uganda, Jon Muq is a vocalist and songwriter who creates soul-filled Afro-pop music on his debut album, produced by Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys). It was released through Dan’s Easy Eye Sound label on May 31st, 2024, and showcased on PBS Newshour. Now living in Austin, TX, Muq has performed in the U.S. with Corinne Bailey Rae, The Black Keys, I’m With Her, Trevor Hall, Valerie June, and the Secret Sisters, and in Europe with Mavis Staples and Norah Jones, and with Billy Joel in London’s Hyde Park.
OPENER: Singing effortlessly through selections by artists varying from Etta James & Ella Fitzgerald, to TOOL & The Weeknd, Meredith McHenry has been entertaining audiences all over the Northern CA for 10+ years.Meredith is known for her ability to recreate both well-known classics and under-the-radar gems with her unique stylistic blend of jazz, funk, blues, rock, folk, country & pop. Her original music stays true to this genre blending with deeply personal songs that take audiences by the hand and lead them through an equally diverse emotional palate with humor, vulnerability, passion, and authenticity.

ABOUT SIGHT & SOUND
We provide free vision care to those in the music industry at trade shows and industry events around the country. We have partnered with the Grammy's MusiCares, Folk Alliance International, The International Bluegrass Association, The Blues Foundation, and many others in the past.
We create mobile vision clinics on-site to provide free eye care to those without access to vision care. We have completed thousands of exams and provided eyewear to thousands at many trade shows and health fairs.
Sight & Sound is a non-profit 501c3 vision care charity and philanthropic organization. Available for on-site services at festivals & trade shows.
VENUE POLICIES
- Set times and ticket prices are subject to change.
- There is a two drink minimum per adult guest. Our menu has 15 wines in diverse styles and sophisticated non-alcoholic options. No outside beverages are allowed.
- Outside food is welcome. Food trucks are available most nights around Vasco Row, steps away from our venue. Check www.vascorow.com and www.altamontbeerworks.com for the schedule.
- Dancing is encouraged at Almost Famous, and usually takes place in front of the stage. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a completely unobstructed view to those sitting at bistro tables.
