The group art 'FX'hibition that showcases the personal and professional art of special effects makeup artists, designers, prop makers and technicians working in the Australian film, television and entertainment industry is back! This year we are excited to be at Mothership Studios in Marrickville with close to 40 artists exhibiting an eclectic mix of sculpture, paintings, scale models, props, miniatures, kinetic and animatronic art. This show provides a space for the artists behind the cameras to express their personal creativity as well as display work created for or affiliated with a specific movie or television production. While the passion for practical effects is shared and celebrated amongst the artists themselves, this unique and eclectic exhibition is also a window into their world, providing inspirational, educational and entertaining community engagement for all.
We are also very excited to be hosting our popular discussion panel and Q&A with top figures in the Industry. Guests and times to be announced. Tickets will be available online.
So come join us Friday, 20th of November from 6-10PM for our always fun and festive opening night celebration. Return the following Saturday and Sunday 10-4PM for a more intimate and in-depth viewing experience.
