SICARD HOLLOW + WAY DOWN NORTHMarch 27 • 101 Central – The Second Story • Whitefish, Montana
Roots music with a little dirt under its fingernails.
Nashville’s Sicard Hollow is bringing their psychedelic punk-grass sound to Whitefish for a night where bluegrass meets rock & roll, punk attitude, and a healthy dose of weird.
These guys aren’t interested in playing by the rules, or being told what their music is supposed to sound like. Instead, they take the instrumentation and spirit of traditional roots music and run it through a modern, high-energy, skate-and-destroy filter. Expect banjo, strings, ripping guitar, big harmonies, psychedelic jams, and plenty of volume.
Opening the night is Northwest Montana’s own Way Down North, featuring Tina Bertram and Cory Chopp. This dynamic duo blends Americana originals and covers with four instruments, powerful vocals, and the unmistakable character of Montana's live music scene.
In just a few short years, Way Down North has shared stages with Railroad Earth, Shakey Graves, Spafford, Kitchen Dwellers, and The Last Revel, establishing themselves as a must-see act throughout the region.
Two bands. Two different takes on roots music. One night of live instrumentation, big energy, and the kind of music that reminds you why we keep building Montana's music scene in the first place.
