Photography Programme Graduate Showcase Film Screening
6:30 – 9pm
Lecture Theatre C
This screening event brings together the final year works of undergraduate students from across the photography programme. These powerful films span a wide range of themes including personal family narratives, AI and technology, decolonial practice, the climate crisis and gender identity. The showcase celebrates the unique visions of each of image maker, and collectively gives an exciting insight of the future for moving image work.
Please note that some of these films explore difficult topics of racial trauma, abuse and mental health. Viewer discretion is advised, so please take care of yourselves and contact a member of staff if you need and support.
Shows 2024: Media
Shows 2024: Media brings together courses from across our Photography programme to highlight a range of distinct and original approaches to visual communication for a range of contexts.
Exploring diverse forms of innovative practice, featured work uses storytelling, conceptual practices and visual experimentation to respond to the themes and concerns of our times - often to make us reflect, or to provoke us to action.
By constructing powerful narratives of people, place and environment, our graduating practitioners continue to explore and interrogate contemporary issues through new forms of creative expression – evoking the unsaid and showing the unseen.
Courses showing include:
- BA (Hons) Photography
- BA (Hons) Photojournalism and Documentary Photography
