"An Arabic word meaning a party or social gathering. In the belly dance world, the term hafla is used to describe an event where students, professionals, and members of the public come together in the name of belly dance."
Join Georgia and the Cowichan Valley Belly Dancers for a fun, informal gathering.
The focus of the evening will be on reconnecting with dance friends after a busy summer/fall and free dancing. A time to gather with the dance community before the busy-ness of the Christmas season!!!!
It's a casual, relaxed evening. Dress to the nines, wear your best Christmas pajamas........but please NO birthday suits!!
We will be setting aside a couple of half hour blocks for anyone who wants to show the rest of us what you've been up to.

Anyone who wishes to perform can drop a note here and we'll start a list.
What's a party without food?
Please bring a finger food or something snacky to share and your favourite non-alcoholic beverage.
There will be a small area set aside if you want to bring any belly dance costume pieces, bits and bobs or accessories that you want to give away.
Due to space constraints in the Showroom, we are not offering room to sell items.
Minimum $5 donation at the door to help off-set costs.
