Shovels & Rope is bringing their Bare Bones Tour of Americana music to Harken Hall on Wednesday, February 10 at 7:00 p.m. The duo blends traditional folk, rock and roll and alternative country for a unique sound.
This American folk duo from Charleston, South Carolina, is composed of husband and wife Michael Trant and Cary Ann Hearst. Combining threads from their individual solo careers, Shovels & Rope blends their careers and their music.
The band’s seventh album Something Is Working Up Above My Head, was released in 2024. This intimate concert brings no bells or whistles, but delivers great songs, stories and harmonies that showcase their chemistry, making them one of the best live acts going.
Hearst is on lead and backing vocals, guitar, drums, keyboard and percussion. Michael Trent is on lead and backing vocals, harmonica, guitar, drums, keyboard and percussion.
