What can one sequin at a time teach us about creativity, energy, patience, and the stories we carry?
Join me for an artist talk exploring my SeQueenArt work and the creative process behind it.
My work begins long before the first sequin is placed. It begins with meditation, connecting with the energy of the subject, and listening for what wants to emerge. Through this process, I've come to recognize just how much creating art and doing our own inner work have in common.
I'll share a little about the history and inspiration behind my work, the stories held within some of the pieces, and how my spiritual practices influence the way I create. We'll also talk about the lessons that emerge when we slow down, trust the process, and allow something to take shape one small choice at a time.
This is an opportunity to see the artwork up close, ask questions, and explore the connection between art, energy, and intention.
The talk is part of Sip, Shimmer, and Sprout, a collaborative exhibition featuring my SeQueenArt alongside the work of two other wonderful artists.
I'd love to see you there!
