To mark International Sherry Week, Vintage Whisky Club is taking over the private dining room at award-winning chef José Pizarro's Bermondsey Street restaurant for one evening, and only ten guests.
A set menu from Pizarro's kitchen, paired with a selection of sherries and rare aged whiskies from the Vintage Bottlers cellar, every one matured in sherry casks. Taste the same wine twice: once as it left Jerez, once after decades in the wood alongside Scotch.
The room
Pizarro's private dining room seats just ten around a single table, surrounded by blue Andalusian tiles, oak panelling and its own wine cellar. Five seats are already taken.
In the glass
Whiskies on the night include Maiden's Blend 25 Year Old Blended Scotch and Secret Series 32 Year Old Islay Single Cask, both bottled by Vintage Bottlers.
